ABOUT THE RUN FOR TOMORROW
Started in 1998 by Rotarian Ken Flanz, the race was originally known as the Holiday Run. The goal was to raise money to support worthy local charities in Broward County. Over the succeeding years, thanks to the thousands of runners and hundreds of sponsors who have participated in the race, more than $500,000 has been raised and donated by the club to Broward County charities. Known to runners and the community as a family-friendly race, the Run for Tomorrow as grown to include a pancake breakfast and a Family Fun Festival with rides, games and activities for kids of all ages. In 2008, a 1.5-mile walk was added to the event. This year, the Walk for Tomorrow will provide an opportunity for hundreds of children and families to raise money for their favorite participating charities.
